Snowman Craft For Texans

Even though snow is nowhere near our future weather forecast, we can still have a little snow fun without the mess. I hope your macaroni kids enjoy this craft as much as my little one!

Supplies:

Clear water bottle

White tissue paper or cotton balls

Styrofoam ball

Scissors

Colored felt

Glue

Pipe cleaners

Googly Eyes


 

 


 

Instructions:

1)Clean out a clear water bottle, remove its label & discard the lid.

Summer Camp Guide Coming Soon

All the sunshine this past weekend made me realized that summer is just around the corner.  Of course we all know that we are in Texas and that means the weather can and will change every 5 mintues so I'm not putting away the sweaters just yet.  However, believe it or not, it is time to start planning for SUMMER CAMPS!  And Macaroni Kid is here to give you the inside scoop on some truly fantastic local SUMMER CAMPS!

Valentines Sucker

Repurposed Christmas Candy Canes

What do you do with left over candy canes ?  Make Valentines Day Suckers of course !

  •  Candy Canes
  • Lollipop Sticks you can get at Michaels or Joanns in the Baking section
  • Baking pan

Heat your oven to 250 degrees and cook for 6 – 8 min depending on the candy cane some melt a little faster than others.   I just did one first so I know how long it would take for the rest.   Then after they have cooked for 6 – 8 min you just press the ends that are not connected ...

Home Made Laundry Detergent

This is how I save money, costly and cleans amazingly!

I have tried different recipes, but this is my favorite:

1 large soup pot

1 wooden spoon

1 bar of Fels Naptha 

1 cup of Super Washing Soda

1 cup of Borax

¼ cup Baking soda

1- 5 gallon painter’s bucket – or equivalent container.

Instructions:

Fill your large soup pot with water - about ½ in from the top of pot

Bring to a boil

Lower heat

Shred the bar of soap into the water
